it's not that WoW is inherently addictive... it's just that it's very good and making you not realize how much time has actually passed... 21 hours ago

Well…. i should have known better than to take a personal trainer in my building up on their request to fix a computer in exchange for a free workout. especially if I had known how much of a form nazi they were. ish.
Up until about 3:35 this afternoon I had been feeling pretty good about myself and my general fitness level, given the progress i had been making at the gym. I suppose i would have felt different if my workout routines had included things with the “metrics” suffix… like plyometrics, isometrics, and all of those other fancy words.
Double Ball Pushups - BW x 20
Push Press - 15# x 20
Step Ups - BW x 20/side
Wide DB Squats - 30# x 25
Front Raises - 30# x 20
Woodchops - 20# x 20/side
Dips - BW x 20
Burpees - BW x 15
Do three rotations of that. took me 37:20 to do that. ick. and she expects me to do this sort of thing once a week — and of course, to keep better form and take less time.
on that note, i think i need a beer, or at least some gatorade.
First post published via iPhone (at werk, even) Kind of cool but the iPhone virtual keyboard is not conducive to longer posts. Mebbe twitter is better for this sort of thing.
despite the hustle and bustle when in the middle of a kitchen production, i find it oddly comforting. maybe it’s a way of staying busy, yet relaxing at the same time. don’t get me wrong… i love to cook, especially when i have the luxury of time to actually do so.
after three weeks of working non-stop, being able to catch a breather allowed me to cook a bit more. so, who knows… i might keep up the cooking when things get busy again.
